Richard Tompkins has more than 25 years experience developing high level competitive juniors. During the past 15 years he has developed more than 20 Top-10 nationally ranked juniors.
Clifton Awuy, Club at Mission Hills Manager and Tennis Staff Professional
A coach at Tompkins Tennis for 4 years, Clif has helped produce many nationally ranked juniors. Top private students include former #1 player in the boys 12s Peter Shin and former top 5 player in the girls 18s Sandra Florea, who received a full tennis scholarship from California State University in San Jose. Clif is also a high level collegiate coach, coaching the Men’s Ohlone College tennis team from 2007 to 2009. In 2009 Ohlone was ranked in the top 20 teams in the State of California. Clif also coached the 2009 Coast Conference Champion and number 8th ranked player in the State, Thomas McGee. Thomas was also honored as an All-American tennis player in 2009.
Kurt Del Rosario, Staff Professional
Kurt comes to Tompkins Tennis with more than 10 years of coaching experience. He was a former top junior player in Northern California. He currently competes on a men’s open level and is PTR-Certified.
Roman Datashivili, Staff Professional
Roman was a top junior tennis player in the Republic of Georgia. He began coaching seven years ago, working with top junior players as an assistant to his uncle. Many of those players went on to successful international junior and professional tennis careers.
Mitch Del Rosario, Staff Professional
A recent graduate of the University of San Francisco, Mitch was a former top Northern California and national junior in the boys 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s age divisions. Mitch also competes on a men’s open level and competed in several futures tournaments. Mitch was voted most valuable player during his senior year year at the University of San Francisco.
Andrei Cimpoaie, Staff Professional
Andrei was the Former #2 junior tennis player in Romania and overall top-10 ranked in Europe. Upon arriving to the United States, Andrei competed on a top Northern California level, boys 18s age division. He was a player on the Ohlone College team during the 2008-2009 season and was a doubles semi-finalist for the Coast Conference.
Max Taylor, Staff Professional
A graduate of UC Santa Barbara, Max is a former top Northern California and nationally ranked junior. In addition he currently competes on a men's open level.
Mike Reiser, Staff Professional
A graduate of UC Davis, Mike is a former top Northern California and nationally ranked junior. While at Davis he played #1 on the men's tennis team. Mike continues to compete on a men's open level.
Aeriel Ellis, University of Texas
Aeriel is a scholarship athlete currently playing #1 on the women's tennis team. Her 2010 results were so outstanding that she was just selected to be part of the NCAA traveling team this summer. During the sumemr, Aeriel will be competing in several pro tournaments in addition to serving as a coach on our staff.

Chris is a scholarship athlete currently playing on the men's tennis team while just completing his freshman year. Prior to college, Chris was ranked #1 in Norcal Boys 18s and competed on a top national level.

Entering her junior year, Stephanie is a scholarship athlete playing on the women's tennis team. As a junior, Stephanie was ranked #8 in the United States, Girls 18s.

Zoe just finished up a very successful freshman year having reached the final 4 of the NCAAs. She enjoyed a successful junior career on both a NorCal and national level where she was always top-10 ranked in NorCal and nationally ranked in the Girls 16s.

Alan is currently playing on the University of Idaho men's tennis team where he just finished up his sophomore year. As a junior, he was always ranked top-10 Nor Cal throughout all age divisions, in addition to competing on a national level.
