Tompkins Tennis is pleased to announce Caroline Doyle has been selected as “Player of the Month” for the month of October. Caroline Doyle won the girls 14s championship beating 2nd seed Kassidy Jump 6-2, 6-2 in the finals. Held at the Harbor Bay Club in Alameda, Ca. 12 year old Caroline played solid tennis both weekends dropping only one set in the tournament to the top seed Kennedy Davis in the quarterfinals. In the first two rounds Caroline lost only three games as she beat Naharika Bedekar and Lily Folini 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-1 respectively. In her quarterfinal match with Davis, Caroline lost an error filled first set 4-6, but in the second set she cut down her unforced errors to grab the set 6-4. In the third Caroline steamed rolled playing smart all around tennis and blanked Kennedy 6-0 in the deciding set. The semifinal match gave Caroline little trouble as she cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Crystal Yen. Caroline also won the girls 14s double title with Kamile Kecki.
