Tompkins Tennis runs the #1 year-round Junior program in Northern California. Located at Ohlone College, ClubSport San Ramon, Livermore Valley Tennis Club, and now at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Spa in Monterey, CA, we produce more nationally ranked juniors than any other program! Richard Tompkins and his highly trained staff of tennis professionals and former Division I college players specialize in juniors between the ages of 6-18. From learning the basics of the game to competing at a national level, Tompkins Tennis can meet the needs of every junior tennis player!

Winner of the Girls' 12s 2014 National Hardcourt Championships!
Congratulations to all of our ranked juniors who competed in the 2014 National Hardcourt Championships. Katie Volynets ended her week-long run on a high note, winning the Girls' 12s division. Katie is now currently ranked #1 nationally in the Girls 12's age division. Katie was also a semifinalist at the National Clay Court Championships in Florida. Personal Training

Sandy Tompkins, M.A., is responsible for the academy's strength and conditioning programs. She is certified as a personal trainer as well as TRX-certified. Sandy works one-on-one with juniors in developing their off-court fitness programs. Schedule a private or group work-out lesson with Sandy today!

Nicolas Clerc

Nicolas Clerc is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He comes from a strong tennis background, his father being Jose Luis Clerc, formerly ranked No. 4 in the world professionally. By the end of Nicolas' senior year of high school, he was among the Top-5 players in Argentina. He graduated from Florida Tech where he was team captain where he played in the #1 position. At the end of his college career, he led Florida Tech's all-time single and doubles record. He was named 1st team All-Conference in both singles and doubles and made 1st team All-Academic. 

Kaitlyn Christian

Christian experienced an extremely successful junior career but excelled even further in college. Prior to graduating with honors from the University of Southern California, Christian was ranked #1 in the country in the 16s and 18s. She also was the singles World Champion on the Nike Junior Tour in 2006. 

In 2013, Christian and her partner, Sabrina Santamaria, became USC's first-ever NCAA doubles winners and completing the first collegiate tennis "Triple Crown" as doubles champions at the ITA All-American Championship, the ITA National Indoors Championship, and the NCAA Tournament. Christian earned herself a bid into the 2013 US Open Doubles main draw. 

Christian is currently training at Tompkins for her 2015 start on the professional tour. 

Magnus Hallahan

Magnus Hallahan is a native of Copenhagen, Denmark. Hallahan competed at a high level in his junior career, being ranked #1 in the 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s nationally with experience from ETA and ITF. 

Since then, Hallahan has built his experience by focusing on what he loves: teaching tennis, while still competing whenever he gets the chance.
